This is a wholesome flowers post for all the CSFL7 participants who got game time.

Jbl - Showcased why he is the best QB in the mod. He levelled up on defense to be able to cover #1's and excelled. Back to back MVP seasons is unprecedented making him climb the all time AFM player list.

Manning - Proving once again he can win with anyone with excellent GM, leadership, & QB skills. Many doubted his team draft night, but he demonstrated his big brain and went 5-1.

Brady - Transitioned to DB and played the inside short zone (robber) position quite well. Never stopped competing and having positive vibes. Always a beacon of light for his team.

Record - Yes, he has the clutch ability, he is a bonafide 1st round draft pick, AND he can play LB. Record does it all.

Kc21 - Incredible leadership calling defense from LB and still providing high production on both ends of the ball.

Aj - Really came into his own being a stud at WR and a defensive powerhouse, especially at the robber position.

Rich - Ray Louis, the best tackler, and best defender became a big playmaker on both ends of the ball. Made a lot of big time catches & jumpballs on offense and defense.

Grogglez - The absolute best jump baller in the mod. He took on a new leadership role on his team and put in the work to improve his guys.

Shanks - High IQ player making big plays throughout the season especially on offense playing that outside right. His team needed him to be the defensive juggernauts they were.

Blood - Another season for him being one of the best defenders, especially at the robber zone. Provided clutch ability on offense as well.

Rawr - Dual threat of LB & DB giving major flexibility to the Express while being an explosive playmaker was essential for their success.

JD - Consistent and solid player giving flexibility at inside at outside WR.

Yellow - Hands down most impactful player on offense that is not a QB and the best LB, most impactful player on defense.

Death - Learned the game and grew so much from the last CSFL. Became a starter and provided excellent defense to his team.

Smoked - A player that has played for so long and never seems to lose the game sense. He had stellar defensive showings for his team.

Finn - Tremendous ability at the 4th option being an absolute gamechanger for his team. His play at his pick contributed greatly to his team's success.

Gee - Old man still learn some new tricks. Played the game at a high level, especially on defense providing much needed experience and incredible vibes.

Milkman - Showed his offensive talent that is arguably 2nd round worthy.

Dylan - Did not quit on his team even though he said he would. His flexibility at short zone on the outside and LB in addition to his explosive inside WR playmaking ability made him a valuable asset.

Jeff - Clutch player on both ends of the ball. Made play after play down the stretch for his team being a heavy reason they won.

Illumi - Mr Algeria earned the game and got 2 wins with the express despite being a 6th rounder and a new player. Unprecedented success for a player like this.

Deadpool - Realiable when called upon and brought depth & experience to this team.

Green - Long time player always ready when called upon providing depth and big positivity to his team. Definitely could move up the draft board for CSFL8 given his skillset.

Efraggelos - We all saw that highlight video. WHAT A PLAYER. Also, he's way cooler than JD.

Since nobody posted a "top player" list, I was encouraged by some players to give my opinion.
I've decided to use kc21's past criteria for this list.

(9-3-18 8:27 AM)kc21 Wrote: Rules of the rankings:
Team Result> Overall Team impact > Skill
I’ll be weighing your team's success the most, your impact on your team and then your skill.

THIS IS BASED OFF OF CSFL 6 ONLY, MY OVERALL LIST WOULD LOOK A LOT DIFFERENT THAN THIS.

#1 - Grogglez

He's BACK - both offensively and defensively. Takes off the top of a defense at will. 50% of my TD passes were improvised and majority of those TDs went to Grogglez because he'd break free within 5 yards after the snap and call for the ball. His cuts are more precise and dynamic. His yards after catch (YAC) are constant. Every matchup outside of Record is a mismatch. Would be smart for a CSFL 7 captain to draft both Grogglez and Record if possible. He's a vulture on defense. He flocks to the ball and tackles immediately if he's not preventing a completion or intercepting the ball. Question is whether he can play man defense or zone at the same level outside of the Express scheme. Can he cover a #1 or a #2?

#2 - Peyton

Improved defense (new mouse) presented more opportunities and less stress on offense. Team was well coached (insert meme) while the chemistry and moral was always high. Each player was put in the best position to succeed and contribute both on offense and defense. The 2 losses were self-inflicted, but proved to be beneficial as we went on to outscore the Empire 107-29 in our last 2 games.

#3 - yellow

Previous criticisms of cheating are in the past and do not apply. This guy was tested weekly and passed each time. Yellow has yet to earn the Top LB award, but no other pass rusher forces more errand throws or dictates offensive play-calls like him. He is the quickest WR off the snap and therefore is able to collapse zones and escape man coverage with ease. His stats do not reflect his impact - he makes everybody near him better. I would have a lot of fun creating concepts specific for his skillset and seeing what he could do with me at QB.

#4 - Funtastik

Same team as last season, but without Grogglez. Sufficient play-call adjustments were not made for jeffrey who was being covered by #1 defenders this season - fake comebacks were constantly unsuccessful and too risky because it put him in a vulnerable position if jeffrey was unable to create separation. His defense took a big hit, in large part to having an inconsistent offense and lacking a safety presence in Grogglez. Still managed to rally his team and play his way into the Championship by having a 18 TD to 5 INT ratio vs the Heat and Outlaws in the 2nd and 3rd matchups. Funtastik, kc21, blood is a real possibility for CSFL 7 and would be a really intriguing matchup if it was to happen.

#5 - jbL

MVP - set single season record with 108 rating. He lacked the knowledge of playing QB last season, but it all came together this year. His footwork and arm talent is exceptional. He can put up points and put together drives consistently. His defense has improved drastically, but is not yet at an elite level. I don't believe having yellow on your team discredits your achievements, but he'll have to prove the haters wrong. He's below Funtastik on my list because he was outplayed 2 of 3 games which includes his disappointing performance in the playoffs. He's still got so much to learn and so much more room to improve.

#6 - Rawr

Getting smarter the more he plays and getting more fun to play with as a teammate. He understands how to rush the QB depending on the given situation. His routes are crisp and dynamic and he can also take the top off. Played outside left better than I had expected - being able to play both outside positions on offense is pretty valuable. Our team struggled vs the Heat without Rawr on both offense and defense. His pass rush on defense made our already tough coverage even tougher to throw against. He collected 3 INTS and forced bad decisions. Question is whether he can be a #1 WR - would his output as a #1 be similar to jeffrey's this year?

#7 - blood

I enjoy playing with cerebral players and blood is one of them. He understands the game on defense and offense. On defense, his switches are seamless to the point where the opposing QB can't differentiate between man or zone. On offense, he understands what I was trying to do and on numerous occasions he called out what he saw at the same time I saw it. For example, his wide open TD reception in the championship game was based off a read he saw - he mentioned it at the same moment I was calling a play for him to exploit the defense. No personality issues all season long or at any time I've played with him, but the question for other QBs is the same it has always been - which blood are you gonna get?

#8 - Record

A tank. You can't get behind him on offense and you can't let him behind on defense. Those skeptics that claimed he was only benefiting because he was playing next to kc21 were proved WRONG. With kc21 missing 1 game, Record carried the team with an impressive 12 catches for 232 yards and 3 TDs. If anything, playing next to kc21 limited him from more opportunities. Record strapped up everyone he covered and was the only defender that gave Grogglez a difficult time. Very valuable defensive piece that can eliminate an offensive option for the opposing quarterback. The question defensively is whether he can play zone or in a team-scheme at a high level. His offensive skills are unique. He can win most jump balls and will win contested passes with ease. His route running is difficult to gauge. It's best to adjust the team offense to his skills rather than his skills to the offense because he can stretch the field unlike anyone else. If he learned to run routes on a consistent basis like he's shown on a few occasions this season, he would easily be 99 overall and a nightmare to game plan for.

#9 - buttfumble

I typed a whole paragraph about this guy without looking at the monitor and then I realized I wasn't typing at all. Asides from making the dumbest mistakes, this guy is a high IQ player. He is a technician on offense and defense. He reinforces positive moral for his team and keeps his quarterback level headed. He can cover any receiver at any position on the field and do so at a high level - only blood and myself are able to do the same. I expected more from his defense especially with yellow pass rushing, but he still performed at an elite level. He's the Rubber Band Man - he bends, but doesn't break - it's difficult to get behind him. His lack of ball skills hurts him on offense and defense. If he can become a big-body player, he'll become a big problem for opposing teams.

#10 - Brady

I'm thankful this guy let others influence his draft selections the past 2 seasons, otherwise he would have been battling for the finals each year. He doesn't get the respect he deserves because of his unorthodox offense, which is why he's at his best when he runs his own show. He showed this when kc21 sat out a game and was replaced by Death. Tom was able to lead his team to a close game against the high powered Heat team where they barely lost by 6. With kc21 in the lineup, he was too concerned about production and the expectations of playing with kc21. He needed to remain at pass rush this season to have a chance. His defense was too vulnerable, although it improved drastically throughout the season. He has yet to win a CSFL ring. His best chance was in CSFL 3 where he was the #1 seed, but ended up forfeiting because of scheduling. Brady is a competitor, he's always in the game - I expect him to get back to his ways and make a run for the CSFL 7 ring, if it was to happen.

#11 - kc21

Lost a step before last season, but still elite. His pass rushing was not as impactful as it was last season, but the defense behind him had a lot to do with that. Main criticism is that he didn't cover the #2 WR and let Brady rush instead. He's elusive after the catch and one of the best with the ball in his hands. He makes difficult catches in big moments. Question is how impactful is he to the team's overall success.

#12 - jeffrey

Disappointing season, but definitely a #1 WR in my book. I think he received too much of the blame for his production this season. His route calls should have been adjusted given he was being covered by #1 defenders - fake comebacks worked too easily last year, but stood no chance this year against tougher competition. He messes up mid-route on occasion and misses too many passes that he should catch. At the same time, he will bail out bad throws on a regular basis like when he prevented a sure INT with me covering by strafing around me and scoring a 50+ yard TD. On defense, he really doesn't have an identity. He's shown signs of good coverage, but is not consistent. The question is whether he's worth a 1st round selection given his offensive performance and lackluster defense.

#13 - Aj

Record Jr. balled out this year. He's done a great job of incorporating his dynamic ability into his route running. His cuts are pretty clean and precise. He can make catches in traffic with the best of them and he's shown this season that he can also make the routine plays and get YAC. His defense has always been susceptible, but he's managed to hold his own pretty well this season when covering the #3 WR. He did benefit offensively from playing next to yellow so the question is how good and impactful is he when playing next to an average inside WR.

#14 - dylan

Greatly improved pre-snap technique. He was more dynamic off the line this season, which allowed him to get open earlier and more often. He was Funtastik's security blanket and main check-down option. His route-running technique also improved as seen in the Championship game where he was covered man-to-man by Grogglez in the redzone - he was able to perfectly technique his way into the endzone by using his body as leverage to create separation for Empire's first TD. He's not a big-body WR and he doesn't gauge the ball well. His pass rush was lackluster during the season, but improved drastically during the playoffs where he put pressure and forced errand throws on a consistent basis. His lack of consistency on offense and defense is what holds him back from being a viable threat.

#15 - Milkman

I enjoyed playing with Milkman last season - he's pretty underrated, but I think that's because he doesn't play on a consistent basis. He shined this season, when kc21 sat out, as Tom Brady's 2nd option. In that game he went 15/18 with 202 yards and 1 TD. He's a big-body player that can cover big-body WRs pretty well. His route running is exceptional and he can make the tough catches in traffic. He does make silly mistakes and misses the routine catch on occasion. His potential is pretty high, but the question is how focused is he willing to be during a season.

With all of these top 10 lists a lot of the newer people who were starting to come into form in CSFL5 are getting snubbed spots because of our biases towards the older players of the mod. So i’m going to rank everyone who atleast played 1 game or was active at the time during csfl.

Rules of the rankings:
Team Result> Overall Team impact > Skill. So i’ll be weighing how well your team did the most, how much impact you had on your team as an individual, and then pure skill.

People who played 1 game don’t get ranked, not enough sample size for me to rank them.

I’m not ranking yellow because once again he was cheating. I am ranking rawr but you will see the way that handled his draft will HEAVILY impact his placement.

These are MY rankings, if you disagree then we can agree to disagree in advance. This is only MY perspective as the player kc21, we all see the game differently.

THIS IS BASED OFF OF CSFL5 ONLY, MY OVERALL LIST WOULD LOOK A LOT DIFFERENT THAN THIS

With that being said let me get on with this list.

1) Funtastik

- Once again Funtastik had the most well coached team, the most disciplined team, and the way he put together that team top to bottom from the draft was impeccable. Being able to get elite sideline wrs like jeffrey and grogglez early set the ground work for the offense and then he rounded it out by picking the second best rusher in f3(most important position besides qb, remember this for later) and then a very reliable, very solid, very experienced 4th wr in shanks. His draft grade alone is an A or an A+. Then you look at the play, he always covered the best wr on the opposing team, he limited my stats in every game he went against me while also leading his team around him. Well earned MVP and top qb.

2) kc21

- I really thought about putting peyton here because of his impact as qb but thinking about it on offense a lot of the play calls were either to me, or shifting me around to open up the field for my team. The thing that I think puts me ahead of peyton even though hes a qb is the difference in us on defence. LB is the second most impactful position in AFM besides qb and being in my opinion the best rusher of last CSFL it puts my overall worth up to his level if not above.

3) Peyton Manning

- Barely lost out on top qb and barely lost out in the CSFL championship peyton once again showed that with the pieces around him you will probably have to go through him to win a championship. Peytons knowledge as a qb was almost as high as it could get. Near complete understanding of the game. Very similar to IRL peyton. Peyton matched up well ok defense with people who weren’t hyper agile (record, jeff, buttfumble.), but when it came to the people who possess more speed he struggled at times, but always was their for the challenge. He lacked what we like to call “dynamic ability”.

THIS IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING

4) Jeffrey

-Jeffrey continued his meteoric rise through the ranks of the pug server into CSFL5. Under the guidance of an elite QB for the first time in his career jeffrey was able to put up numbers that qb’s dream of. He lead the league with 13tds, had the second most catches (while having an 87% of completing his passes), and the 4th most yards. He did this while on the same team as grogglez, so the fact that jeffrey was the number one on that team is a feat in itself. Jeffrey’s next steps would have been to increase his agility and play making ability and assert himself more as a defender.

5) Grogglez

-Grogglez and record are interchangible for what you would want, Grogglez is the superior WR and record is the superior DB. Grogglez put to bed all notions of being “washed” when he got 11 tds, 844 yards (both 2nd) all on 38 caches. He proved once again that when called upon he could answer the call. The true sign of a goat

(Grogglez is 4th in my mind... but thats my bias in my opinion)

6)Tom Brady

- I was going to put JBL here actually but after thinking about it even though JBL finished really strong Tom didn’t have a player of the same magnitude of yellow... Tom was a victim of his draft and the teams he had to go against. Every game tom had to play he either got rushed by: Me, f3, or yellow. Thats a fucking nightmare when record is being covered by peyton, funtastik, and blood. Despite all of this tom put up a good fight and lost a couple close games... and a couple blow outs...

7) JBL

-Im going to get a lot of hate for this but idc, JBLs team was destined for the mext 0-7 team of CSFL after losing blood as a player and losing yellows desire to play and he said “no im not just gonna roll over and get rolled” he beat the express in a close game, beat toms team in a close game to finish the season and then stomped top 6-36.

8) Record

-Record lead the league in yards and was his teams best defender. The things that go against record is his pedestrian completion % of 71%. Record and tom were never able to develope a consistent connection but that still wouldn’t stop record from catching deep balls. Record needed to answer the bell as the top DB he was and limit WRs like me to less yardage than he allowed.

9) F3

- F3 was the best rusher statistically with the most sacks and I only saw a little bit behind me as far as raw skill as a rusher. F3 had the tools to become an elite inside WR but could never get the true feel for the position to use his abilities to the best of his ability. F3s next step was just to get more pug plays to put the puzzle together offensively and to discipline himself in his route running tendencies.

10)Buttfumble

- This is just a case of losing interest in the game at the time... BF was better than his stats and rankings indicate but his IRL distractions were too much for him to care enough at the end (which is fine) but he was still a very solid defender just couldn’t develope chemistry with peyton.

11) Milkman

-Milkman beat out blaze for a starting spot on the express and continued to FEAST off of his relative competition as a “4th” wr. He truly committed to peyton and the express’ system after falling through the draft past teams such as The Outlaws(that one got to him). Milkman showed the fight and desire to improve as a 4th/5th that a qb looks for. No one wants a WR whos happy being mediocre

12)Shanks

-Ole reliable. Shanks wasn’t very impactful as a WR but as a defender he fit the bill to round out funtastiks team in that Goodgoat/Gee role where they might not be featured a lot as a WR but they can still contribute to any defense. Shanks was a victim to time similar to blaze of offense. The mod sped up around him while he stayed the same. I still want to be [eZ] tho

13)Aj

-Tom and AJ continued their connection im this CSFL putting up decent stats for the amount of games he played... Aj had vertical play making ability but as far as consistent route running to sustain long drives there was a lot to be desired. Underrated defender.

14) Blood

-In the time he was with JBL blood showed he was no longer the same WR. Understanding what blood was going through playing for a “lesser” qb I understand the frustration of not the production you would like but knowing bloods talent his stats are unacceptable. 24/40 (60%) was the worst completion percentage for a wr and would be the equivalent of going 6/10 every game. Midway through the season JBL had the chance of getting me and rawr for yellow and Panda. Its possible that would have went on to be a bad trade because regardless jbl went 3-1 in his last games after that. If i completely erased bloods WR stats and took him PURELY as a DB his rating instantly goes up in my head but in this CSFL he showed once again when things start going bad he will not try to diffuse the fires but add to it.

As a talent blood instantly jumps to around the top 5, especially when in the right situation with the right team.

15)Coolbrah

-Not only could he sub in for qb if needed (which it wasn’t) but im pretty sure he can play anywhere on the field, inside or outside on defense, and his rush his nothing to be laughed at... he has a tendency to get insane dives in between the bots to sack the qb.

To be continued...

Have you ever fantasized about what it would be like to live the life of an NFL player, to prepare for being drafted and create your hype in the football world then this community is for you. You have the opportunity to live out your football career, from being scouted pre-draft to being the face of your team, leaving your name in the history books. We have been working very hard to get this league up and running and would like you to be a part of our brand new community, more on that later. First here is what the site is all about and what you can expect to get out of it!
• BE-A-PRO EXPERIENCE - A rich, personal football experience. Build your player the way YOU want him/her to be. Be a player and try to live out a hall of fame career and find the rewards of your success eternally inscribed in the NSFL Hall of Fame. Success is based on your activity within our community. There are entertaining activities you can do on your own time and weekly training that allow you to improve in skills you need to succeed. Every game is simulated on the Draft Day Sports: Pro Football 2016 simulator, an advanced program that will be the backbone of our league. (Similar to Front Office Football)
• PROGRESSION SYSTEM - When you first embark on your football journey you will create a young player eligible for the NSFL Draft, from there you will show the world what your potential could be. Each team is owned and operated by real humans, these members have established themselves as helpful and highly participant bodies of various other simulation sports communities similar to this one. They choose you to be the next face of their franchise.
• DRAFT DAY - Experience what it is like to wait for your name to be selected. This is a full draft experience where real people will draft you and spend their resources on your potential. Become the next big steal, or potentially the next big bust. Every decision made is personal and rewarding because of our community. Will you be the next superstar?
• REAL PEOPLE, REAL OWNERS - Every detail is ran and executed by real humans. Every decision from team lineups, draft day selections and last minute trade deadline deals are done by real human owned teams. Will you find yourself a part of that trade deadline package sending you to a playoff contender? Or will you be a young and coming prospect dealt in a deal to a team on the rebuild?
• COMMUNITY - Once your player is drafted onto a team you will gain access to a private locker room for your organization. Here is often where the closest relationships develop. This is an area just for your team to talk about whatever you want and reflect on the season in front of you and what the future may hold. This is a football community who is passionate about their sport but even if you're not a football guru or follower but enjoy the idea we are a welcoming and friendly bunch to all!
• CASUAL OR HARDCORE - Your experience is completely determined by you. Busy life? You don't need to spend hours a week to improve your player or participate, all activity levels are welcome. You can be a casual player, or take on a larger role and find yourself taking jobs within the league, or even becoming an owner of a franchise yourself. You get what you put in, but time is not the most important factor for NSFL success. You will have a pleasant and fun experience by just hanging around with us.
• FREE - To clear up any confusion, I want to emphasize that our community/site is completely free. It’s free to join, free to participate, free to do what you want. Our league runs off the hard work of our community, we all serve each other in that regard. I'm not selling you anything here, just offering you a welcome to our community. You have nothing to lose by checking us out. Besides we're a helpful friendly bunch.
That sums up an overview of what the National Simulation Football League has to offer. We're a growing, passionate and loving community that plans to be around for a long time. We hope you take a moment and check us out. You can find us at http://nsfl.jcink.net/index.php
